SURVIVALCRAFT RESCUE BASKET

The SURVIVALCRAFT® Rescue Basket is designed to facilitate the safe retrieval of casualties from the sea. The Rescue Basket is deployed by the shipboard crane from a single central lifting point. A special lifting strop is provided which is designed to give a simple visual confirmation to the crane operator that the on load condition has been reached, thereby avoiding snatch loading.

The Rescue basket is designed to hold up to 12 persons and it therefore perfectly complements the capacity of SOLAS approved fast rescue craft that hold a maximum of 12 casualties.

QUALITY AND STRENGTH
The Rescue basket is designed for long term service in typical harsh marine conditions. For maximum durability, the Rescue Basket is manufactured from mild steel rather than the less robust aluminium alternative. All the lifting lugs and fillet welds on the Rescue basket are subject to 100% MPI. The whole assembly is then hot dipped galvanised and proof load tested to two and a half times the safe working load of one tonne.
