We offer a comprehensive range of maintenance, inspection and testing services in accordance with the latest SOLAS and offshore regulations: 

  • six-monthly and annual inspections of lifeboats, FRCs, davits, winches, and lifeboat release and retrieval systems
  • five-yearly overload testing of lifeboats, davits, winches, and lifeboat release and retrieval systems
  • five-yearly fall wire replacements
  • mechanical and GRP repairs
  • refurbishing and retrofitting of lifeboats, FRCs, davits, winches, and lifeboat release and retrieval systems.

Our service engineers can also deliver equipment familiarisation courses to crews on lifeboats, FRCs, and lifeboat release and retrieval systems during service visits.

Safelaunch

Safelaunch® is an offload / onload lifeboat release and retrieval system designed and manufactured by Survival Craft to eliminate the common operating problems associated with other release mechanisms.

Fatalities occur every year as a result of old and poorly-designed release mechanisms. Safelaunch® represents a major step forward in functionality and safety, and greatly reduces the potential for injuries and fatalities resulting from operational failure or incorrect use of release systems.

Safelaunch® meets the latest requirements of SOLAS, IMO and LSA codes and is approved by DNV in accordance with the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED).

Safelaunch® can be installed in new lifeboats or retrofitted to old lifeboats as a class approved upgrade.
